Citizens Oppose Abandonment of Historic Allegheny Regional Branch

Of The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, Oct. 3 – Citizens opposed to abandoning the historic Allegheny Regional Branch of The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and moving the library branch to a new structure three blocks away, spoke Tuesday afternoon at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). RAD provides funding, from half of a one percent sales tax in Allegheny County, for county public libraries including the vast majority of funding for The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
