HISTORIC
COME TO PUBLIC MEETING TO VOICE YOUR OPINION
Carnegie Library has proposed
abandoning historic Hazelwood Branch Library building, which includes a beautiful
stained-glass dome over the original mahogany circulation desk. It is one of
the few libraries which has a 250-seat auditorium. Hazelwood has one of the
original libraries built by Andrew Carnegie; it opened on

of a building a few blocks away. The historic Hazelwood Branch Library building
would then be boarded-up and become another abandoned building in
Hazelwood—and, eventually, it may be torn-down.
