Amendment to the By-Laws of the
Andrew Carnegie Free Library
Approved March 17, 1997
The following amendment, to the By-Laws of the Andrew Carnegie
Free Library, was approved by a unanimous vote(twelve Trustees in
attendance--no abstentions) of the
Library Board of
Trustees, at the Annual Meeting of Monday Evening, March 17, 1997[shortly
after 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time], held
at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library. Motion was made by Library Life
Trustee Robert Valeriano; motion Seconded by Life Trustee Douglas
Dombrowski. Vote - Aye: 12, Nay: 0, Abstentions: 0[Note: By-Laws
require that twelve affirmative votes(two-thirds majority of
17-member Board of Trustees) must be cast for an amendment to the
By-Laws to be approved].
NINTH AMENDMENT - AMENDING SECTION 28, ADVISORY BOARD, TO PERMIT TWO
ADDITIONAL MEMBERS
Motion -
To change Library By-Laws to provide for an Advisory Board of no more than
twelve members and one chairman.
[SPECIAL NOTE: This amendment amends Section 28, Advisory Board, which was
first authorized by the Fifth
Amendment on September 18, 1995.]
