Amendments to the By-Laws of the
Andrew Carnegie Free Library
Approved July 5, 1995

The following two amendments, to the By-Laws of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library, were approved by a unanimous vote of the Library Board of Trustees, at the Special Meeting of Wednesday Evening, July 5, 1995, held in the Council Chamber of the Borough of Carnegie, One Glass Street, Carnegie, Pennsylvania 15106.

This is the first time an amendment to the By-Laws of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library was properly ratified, and hence, the By-Laws were officially amended[An attempt to amend the Library By-Laws, which was not properly ratified, occured on December 13, 1948.

FIRST AMENDMENT - ADD SECTION 25

Section 25
Wherever the gender HE appears in the Declaration of Trust or the By-Laws of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library of Carnegie, Pa. it will be interpreted as HE or SHE.

SECOND AMENDMENT - ADD SECTION 26

Section 26
Parliamentary Procedure will be based on Robert's "Rules of Order". At no time will Robert's "Rules of Order" supercede the Declaration of Trust as written and adopted dated April, A.D. 1899.
