STAGE 62 PREMIERE BENEFITS LIBRARY

SPECIAL RECEPTION DURING INTERMISSION OF

"HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING"

Carnegie, Pa., October 29 - The premiere performance of Stage 62's production of the popular Broadway play, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," will be on Thursday Evening, November 4 at 8:00 p.m. in the Music Hall of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library, 300 Beechwood Avenue in Carnegie Borough. All proceeds from this premiere will help the Andrew Carnegie Free Library continue to provide library services to residents of Carnegie and the Chartiers Valley.

This musical comedy, written by Abe Burrows and Frank Loesser, pokes fun at the business attitudes of the 1960s. J. Pierrepont Finch climbs the corporate ladder of success, from window washer to Executive Vice President, while outwitting his egocentric, chauvinistic, and bumbling rivals. The score includes the hit songs "Brotherhood of Man," "Paris Original," "A Secretary is Not a Toy," and "Coffee Break."

Ticket prices, for this premiere performance, are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and students, and $6 for children under the age of 12. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Library or at the Chartiers Valley Arts Council, 311 East Main Street in Carnegie Borough. Tickets can also be ordered by telephone: (412) 279-8822 or (412) 928-9412.

The performance will take place in the Library's 788-seat, acoustically-perfect Music Hall, which is patterned after Carnegie Hall in New York City. October 19 marked the centennial of the laying of the Library building's cornerstone, when construction of the cultural complex commenced.

During intermission, all attendees will be invited to a special reception in the Library.

This performance of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" is being donated to the Library, for no charge by the well-known theatrical troupe, Stage 62. This benefit is being sponsored by the Chartiers Valley Arts Council, Chartiers Valley Partnership, and the Andrew Carnegie Free Library.
