Meeting held Thursday, January 21, 1999, 6:00 p.m.(EST).

RESOLUTION 1999-2

RESOLVED, Members of the general public, who have library cards in good standing(free of any fines or assessments for late or missing library materials) with the Andrew Carnegie Free Library, or other Allegheny County or ACCESS Pennsylvania libraries, can register to use a Library computer. The Library staff will hold the Patron's library card while the Patron uses the machine. The Patron must observe all Library regulations, posted at the computer station. In particular, electronic mail of any type, "chat rooms," and "bulletin boards" are not to be used. Diskettes are not to be used in Library computers. The Patron understands that the Library will enforce all applicable Federal and State statutes. Waiver of any of these regulations can only be granted by the Library Director or the Library Director's appointed surrogate.

Approved, by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library, at the Special Meeting of the Board held January 28, 1999.
