How to sign the petition

T

he petition which will put the referendum on the fall ballot is an official election document.   It must be signed in person with the circulator witnessing it and it can only be signed during a seven (7) week period that runs from mid June to the first week of August.   To make this easiest for you and quickest for us (to collect more than 10,000 signatures in just 7 weeks, we must be quick), we are making a list in advance of people who have indicated they will sign.   This will make it possible to have someone in your neighborhood stop by to get your signature at your convenience or we can let you know where to go to sign.

You can become a part of history by helping put this momentous amendment on the ballot.   Please tell us now if you will sign.   If you aren't sure and want more information, please ask now because we will be quite pressed for time later on.   If you think you might like to help in some capacity, please let us know as soon as you can -- there are plenty of things that can be done both in advance of and during the petitioning too.
